The executive takes on the role with the challenge of supporting the company's growth strategy, driving sustainability initiatives, implementing new logistics models aligned with route to market, strengthening D2C operations, and fostering partnerships and synergies with other Mars companies and business units in the country.
A Career Built on Excellence
Rosana holds a degree in Chemical Engineering with an MBA in Business Management and brings more than 20 years of experience in Supply Chain, having worked at leading consumer goods companies including Johnson & Johnson, Mondelez, and Whirlpool. Throughout her career, she has gained international experience in countries such as the United States and Mexico. Her most recent position was at Kraft Heinz, where she led the IBP and Digital Transformation area for emerging markets.
Her trajectory is marked by solid expertise in demand and supply planning, materials and production management, inventory control and cash flow, production capacity analysis, and supply strategies. Additionally, she has extensive experience leading innovation projects, cost reduction initiatives, and implementing processes such as IBP, S&OP, and S&OE.
Leading Through Purpose
"Taking on the leadership of such a strategic sector is an incredible opportunity to contribute to a brand with such a clear and inspiring purpose. My focus will be to ensure an even more agile, sustainable, and integrated operation, keeping pace with the company's growth and anticipating the needs of our customers," said Rosana Tambacha. "I am excited about the challenge of strengthening our logistics capabilities and expanding connections throughout the country."
Strategic Vision for Complex Operations
As Supply Chain Director, Tambacha will oversee one of the most sophisticated operations in the pet nutrition sector. Her mandate encompasses multiple critical areas: implementing innovative logistics models, enhancing direct-to-consumer channels, and building strategic partnerships across Mars' diverse portfolio in Brazil.
Her extensive background in digital transformation and integrated business planning positions her uniquely to tackle these challenges. Having led IBP initiatives in emerging markets at Kraft Heinz, she brings proven expertise in managing complex supply chains in dynamic, growth-oriented environments.
Sustainability at the Core
A key pillar of Tambacha's new role will be advancing Royal Canin's sustainability agenda. Her experience in implementing cost-reduction programs and operational efficiency improvements aligns perfectly with the growing demand for environmentally responsible supply chain practices in the consumer goods sector.
Royal Canin's commitment extends beyond pets to people and the planet, promoting a sustainable ecosystem and ensuring a viable future for the next generations. Under Tambacha's leadership, the supply chain function will play a crucial role in delivering on these commitments.
Supporting Rapid Growth
Royal Canin's Brazilian operation, with its factory located in Descalvado in the interior of São Paulo state, produces over 250 different food products distributed through specialized channels, with presence in more than 15,000 points of sale across the country. Managing this scale while supporting continued expansion requires sophisticated planning and execution capabilities, areas where Tambacha has demonstrated consistent success.
Her expertise in capacity analysis and supply strategy will be instrumental as Royal Canin continues to expand its market presence and introduce new products tailored to the specific needs of pets based on age, breed, size, lifestyle, and specific sensitivities.
Global Perspective, Local Impact
Tambacha's international experience in the United States and Mexico provides valuable perspective for managing operations in a company with global reach. Royal Canin operates in 120 markets with more than 8,000 associates worldwide, including 400 veterinarians and nutritionists. The global operation manages 17 factories and 2 pet centers, including 1 innovation center and 7 laboratories in the Mars network.
Her ability to balance global best practices with local market needs will be essential in driving operational excellence while maintaining Royal Canin's commitment to scientific innovation and pet health.
Innovation Through Integration
Beyond traditional supply chain management, Tambacha's role involves fostering collaboration across Mars' various business units in Brazil. This integrated approach can unlock synergies in logistics, procurement, and distribution, creating competitive advantages while reducing costs and environmental impact.
Her track record in leading cross-functional teams and implementing transformative processes such as S&OP and S&OE suggests she is well-prepared to navigate the complexities of multi-business collaboration.
